Our vineyards

The Consorzio Produttori Vini of Manduria has a area planted with vines of 900 hectares and over, of which more than half destined to the production of Primitivo. The system of rearing more used in particular in the vineyards  longer-lived is the that of sapling or short bush, while in the younger systems is used the espalier. The average density for hectare is between 4000 and 5000 bases of trees of 900 quintals for hectare. It is very important that our vine-growers reserve an other historic vine of Salento: the Negroamaro, with a production of 25%. The productions of Merlot, Cabernet and Malvasia are of less importance according to a quantitative analysis.
